Waiting

Waking up to such bright sunshine, the likes of which we haven’t seen for weeks, was really eerie.

If you didn’t know what was going on, you wouldn’t think anything was wrong by just looking out the window. It’s mostly sunny, our mail was delivered as normal, we can’t hear any emergency sirens; it’s all a bit … normal.

But it doesn’t feel normal because we know the worst is yet to come.

  1. I think it was because of our anti-rain dance and insulting of The Flood.

However, you’re right. It does make things feel weird. Nature sucks, but this city is so amazing that we’ll all get through it. 🙂

  2. Poor old Nature. She’s just doing her thang.

It’s been really heartening to see calls for volunteer help being fulfilled so quickly.
