Does anyone else use the term dixie bash to refer to washing up pots and pans?
It can’t just be people who used to go to our yearly ‘family camp’ at Alexandra Headlands in the 80s and 90s.
Anyone?

Never heard of it but so want to use it.
Just so we’re clear, is it “going to the dixie bash” or “joining the dixie bash” or “doing the dixie bash”? I don’t want to embarrass myself…
In the context of a camp situation, where there are teams of people assigned to different chores, it’s more like, “Ugh, I’m on dixie bash tonight; I hate dixie bash”.
Sweet. Duly noted.
I’m on dixie bash pretty much every night.
And I too hate dixie bash…
I miss you!
